The Bloggie does the job, but I’m afraid it’s no substitute for the easy-to-use and easy-to-maintain Flip. Unfortunately, I don’t think they’re making Flip cameras anymore.

I love using the Selena character but I don’t know how much she’ll be in the strip going forward this year. I have big plans to use her next year, but for the time being I want to focus on my journalism class. If she only pops up here and there for the next few months as a device to move something along, I thought this was a fitting end for a new teacher- seeing they’ve gotten the hang of some of the unwritten, unacknowledged things you have to do to get by as a teacher.

I very much doubt anyone I worked with in Brooklyn reads this… but if they do, I’m sure you all know who I’m talking about. He was and I’m sure still is INCREDIBLE. One of the top three teachers I’ve ever seen in my life. I don’t think we ever had more than one or two conversations over the course of two years of employment in the NYCDOE, but man. If he’s not a running a school now, there’s no justice in the world.
