Can you guess the theme for this week’s chalkboard drawings? Here’s a hint: It has nothing to do with what we’re learning in class right now.

Since these things are usually drawn a matter of minutes before the kids come into class, I don’t usually do any “research” on how characters/things look before I slap ’em up on the chalkboard… but I did make a cursory Google Images search for most of these characters. The good Cap’n, I have down cold. The other two, not so much.

      I show all of the 1996 version with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, and bits and pieces of the 1968 Zeffirelli version. I love both of the movies but the kids definitely groove on the ’96 version more.
