2011-2012 school year: i am a spittle machine

Yeah, I do this. I feel bad for the kids who end up in the first row. Occasionally my classroom is like a Gallagher performance. I swear to God, I’m working on it.

…and just to give you a window into my creative process:

This note has been sitting on my drafting table for weeks. Those with long memories will see that two of the other ideas on this slip of paper have already wormed their way into the comic… but I’ve been staring at “I’m a Spittle Machine” for over a month now. I couldn’t figure out how to do anything with it… and honestly, I’m not sure I did it any justice today. I guess sometimes it’s better to go with a half-baked idea than nothing at all.
