Hourly Comic Day 2016

Yes, the calendar has turned once more to February 1st, which as we all know is the day when autobiographical cartoonists on the Internet celebrate themselves by drawing a comic every hour for the balance of the day. yes, Hourly Comic Day is once again upon us!

I participated in 2013 and 2014 and I think I started to do a set in ’15 but forgot to post them: you can see my aborted effort over on Tumblr HERE and HERE. I stopped at around 4 PM in 2015 because I had a ton of essays to grade.

I have to admit, looking at some of the other hourlies that comic artists are making, I feel a deep jealousy for the amount of strips I saw that featured staying at home, eating a late breakfast, and hanging out!

  1. I taught for a couple of years, back in 2008-2010. And even back then, trying to control phones and texting was a nightmare. I can’t imagine what it’s like today.

It’s an epidemic and the kind of thing, years from now when people look back at this era in education, collectively we will be ashamed at having allowed it to become so.
