…for the record, we’re pretty sure Elliot didn’t hear us, he was so absorbed in his Kindle. Plus he’s 9 years old so it’s going to happen eventually.

Posted in illustration with tags christmas, color, dr seuss, ellen, elliot, henry, joan, pearce family holiday drawings, the grinch, the grinch who stole christmas on December 1, 2016 by Christopher PearceBy now you probably know the drill – every Christmas, I draw our family into a holiday themed picture which then gets used as the X-Mas card we send out to our friends and neighbors. Truth be told, I already had a go at The Grinch six years ago but I was never happy with how that one turned out (too much yellow!) and the previous grinchy doodle was done BEFORE we started sending these out as holiday greetings so… yeah, natural do-over.

Pearce Family Holiday Drawings: Halloween 2016
Posted in Uncategorized with tags chewie, color, ellen, elliot, halloween, henry, joan, pearce family holiday drawings, salem's lot, stephen king on October 1, 2016 by Christopher PearceEvery year, I do a Halloween drawing of my family on social media. This year, I took a page from one of my favorite Stephen King books (‘Salem’s Lot is definitely in my Top Three). I was a little dubious about this being THE Halloween drawing, since it doesn’t directly connect to the season, but whatever!
You can see the rest of the holiday drawings over the year here.

Posted in 2015-2016 school year with tags brad, comics, creature, ellen, melissa on February 22, 2016 by Christopher PearceSome sad news – Creature, the cat that belongs to my best friends Melissa and Brad, died this weekend.
Longtime readers of my comics probably remember Creature – he became QUITE popular during the LiveJournal days, when I was first starting to put my comics up online. Those comics still exist over on LJ and you should check ‘em out. He was a great cat.
We are heavy on eulogies on this website in the last few days. I will do something to try and change that before the end of the week.

This year I decided to have a go at Rankin/Bass’ seemingly immortal Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. As a kid, this one was always my favorite.

This is 2015′s effort. I had already done Ellen and I as Frankenstein’s Monster and The Bride a few years’ back but I wanted another whack at it with the kids in tow.
Here are some past Halloween (and Christmas!) drawings of the Pearce family.
